Week 10 College Football Picks

It’s already Week 10 in college football which means we get some really big games but the season is almost over. Soak it up while you can, and please don’t take my advice on the Friday pick because I haven’t been right so far and probably won’t be ever.

Season Record:

Friday: 0–2

Saturday: 3–3

Other: 5–2

Friday Night Game: UCLA (+7) @ Utah (Pick: UCLA)

Like I said, don’t take my advice. But if you do, go with the road dog. Both teams are REALLY bad, but at least UCLA is 2–2 in their last four games with losses to a hot Arizona team and Washington. That’s enough to convince me to take the points.

Saturday Slate:

6 Ohio State @ Iowa (+17.5) (Pick: Iowa)

The Buckeyes are one of the hottest teams in the country right now, but Kirk Ferentz’s Hawkeyes always keep it close in big games at home. This year they took Penn State down to the wire losing by 2 on the last play and beat Michigan at home last year. Give me 17.5 points every day.

Georgia State (-4) @ Georgia Southern (Pick: Georgia State)

Georgia Southern is 0–7 on the season. The team is so bad that they had to fire their head coach mid-season. They are also 1–5–1 against the spread. I feel confident that Georgia State can win by more than 4 points.

Oregon @ Washington (-16.5) (Pick: Washington)

The Huskies were ranked 12th in the College Football Playoff rankings that came out on Tuesday. They know that to keep their hopes at making the playoff alive they’ll have to win out and do it convincingly. Washington beat Oregon by 39 last year and I’d expect a similar outcome tomorrow.

Other Games I like:

  • Southern Miss (+6) @ Tennessee (Pick: Southern Miss)
  • USF (-23.5) @ UConn (Pick: USF)
  • Rice @ UAB (-10.5) (Pick: UAB)
