Friday Night Game: Colorado State (-7.5) @ New Mexico (Pick: Colorado St.)
Going back to the well picking an away favorite on Friday night. To be honest the Friday night games stink, but this is the best option. The Rams currently have the 9th ranked offense in the country and QB Nick Stevens has thrown 10 touchdowns to 0 picks in the last three games.
19 Michigan (+9.5) @ Penn State (Pick: Michigan)
When Michigan loses, they don’t lose by a lot. In 2016 they lost three games: to Iowa by 1, to Ohio State by 3, and Florida State by 1. This year they lost to Michigan State by 4. The Wolverines have the top defense in the country and should be able to keep this game within one possession. I don’t think they win, but I don’t see how this game isn’t close.
Purdue (-9.5) @ Rutgers (Pick: Purdue)
“Believe it or not, they crushed our hopes and our dreams,” said Purdue head coach Jeff Brohm in reference to Rutgers beating undefeated Louisville in 2006 when he was the Cardinals QB coach. I think this is a sneaky revenge game. Don’t let a win at Illinois fool you, Rutgers still lost to EASTERN MICHIGAN at home. The Boilermakers are going to roll.
Syracuse (+17) @ Miami (Pick: Cuse)
I don’t want to gas up Syracuse after the Clemson win because I don’t think they’re good, but 17 points is a lot. Miami is good but they’re overrated at this point. They’ve squeaked out wins against Florida State lite and Georgia Tech in the past two weeks. I think there’s no doubt the U wins but Dino Babers puts up numbers and Cuse should cover pretty easily.
Other Games I like:
- Buffalo (+2.5) @ Miami (Pick: Buffalo)
- UCF (-7.5) @ Navy (Pick: UCF)
- Kentucky(+12) @ Mississippi St. (Pick: Kentucky)
- Oklahoma @ Kansas State (+14) (Pick: Kansas State)
